Spring is here and what better way to celebrate than cooking a feast of fresh produce! If you don’t have your own garden, try your local green grocer or a farmers market for the freshest produce and advice.
The produce listed below are spring favourites in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program schools and your creative use of these ingredients will be viewed favourably. You may also use other spring produce that is not listed here and produce that is available year round. Use of fresh produce that is not in season for Spring, will not rate highly against the judging criteria.
